Basil Salt

Basil is a key ingredient and garnish in summer dishes: caprese, homemade pesto, the list goes on. But this week, I found an unsuspecting use for it: flavored salt. The recipe is easy.

1 – Mix equal parts Kosher Salt and fresh basil.

2 – Pulse in food processor.

3 – Bake for 30-40 minutes at 225 degrees, stirring halfway through.

4 – Pulse again until it appears powdery.
